Enniskillen trio, Michelle Rooney, April Rooney and Denise Warrington head for the World Pool Championships this weekend.

The girls, will represent Northern Ireland in the World Championships in Blackpool next week.

Two years ago the team reached the final against France and later reached the final of the European Championship.

Denise is the ladies manager and chairperson of the Northern Ireland Pool Federation.

Michelle is ranked fourth in the world and last year made the 'Dream Team' for players who win the most games in a season.

At the Europeans in Malta in February this year, she won all her 15 games.

She says, "The girls are playing top class pool and we are hoping to do very well this year.

The girls have to fund themselves, apart froma small grant of #50 each from the Fermanagh Sports Advisory Body and are looking for any sponsor who is interested to get in touch.

The three alsoplay for the Fermanagh Ladies team and in the past have been All Ireland winners. You can follow their progress on www.wepf.org
