Jones Memorial Primary School on the outskirts of Enniskillen has marked its centenary ('100 not out') with the launch of a history trail and book. In addition, teachers and other staff have put together a very detailed programme to mark the school's special birthday and they have presented the Enniskillen Castle Museum with a time capsule recording those moments.
As well as all that, the school featured an exhibition that included memoirs from various individuals connected with the school together with photographs, log books and other artefacts.
The principal, Sandra Isherwood said the school was indebted to its Centenary History Committee for masterminding the entire event.
"A lot of work has gone into this, and I am delighted that Jones Memorial Primary is celebrating 100 years of educating local children. I know that everyone involved, staff and pupils, past and present, as well as family and friends enjoyed this year's celebratory events."
The school's centenary book, '100 Not Out' is available for sale at the school, priced £9.95 and also at Easons book shop.
