It was a successful weekend for Roslea showjumper James McMahon who secured a place in the 138cms pony championships final to be held in the RDS Dublin in August.
The 12-year-old won his place by virtue of his performance at the Mullingar qualifier. James continued his good run of form on Sunday at Boswell Equestrian Centre in Wicklow when he was again in the line up on his Spanish bred pony Boom Del Peguilil.
This time he qualified in the same grade for the pony final at the Northern Ireland International Horse show which will take place at Belfast's Odyssey arena in October.
James, who has been competing since the age of seven, is maintaining a family tradition in the equestrian field following in the foot steps of his cousin, international showjumper Clem McMahon.
