Bennetts Mace drives CTG Equestrian Summer Horse Show at Ecclesville

The countdown is on for the Bennetts Mace Fintona Summer Charity Horse Show which takes place at the Ecclesville Equestrian Centre from 18th to 20th July 2008, promoted by CTG Equestrian

A first for the area, the three-day show will include novice classes on Friday afternoon, main classes including a Grand Prix on Saturday, with Sunday set aside for pony competitions.

Brian Murphy, Regional Manager for Bennetts' Mace said: "We're delighted at Bennetts to be sponsoring this local event and putting Fintona on the map. The Ecclesville Centre is a great resource for the local community and hope that the horses, ponies and other attractions at the show will encourage people to come out and see the event and enjoy the atmosphere.

"Since Bennetts took over the operations of Mace in Fintona, we're delighted at the support we've received from the local community. We hope that many people will come out to join us for this event and our official opening on Thursday 24th July with entertainment from Dominic Kirwan and his band, a barbecue and a fun-filled weekend," he concluded.

The local branch of Cancer Care is set to benefit too from the Charity Horse Show Event, with £1 from each entry fee for going to the charity which is currently undertaking a major fundraising drive in the community.

Local rider Peter Smyth, who recently took third place at the prestigious Hickstead Horse Show on his horse Rollo Tomasi, was on hand this week to lend his support to the show. Peter will compete in the Saturday competitions.

Alongside all the show jumping action, there will be fun for all the family on Saturday with face painters, balloon modellers, bouncy castles and a barbecue from Bennetts, with the best of fresh local meat and salads available.
