The mission statement of this organisation is as follows; 'ASH is a campaigning public health charity working for a comprehensive societal response to tobacco aimed at achieving a sharp reduction and eventual elimination of the health problems caused by tobacco.'

This is a mighty aim and one that this organisation takes very seriously. ASH (Action on Smoking & Health) works by formulating the best information and analysis of the tobacco problems then communicates that in order to generate awareness and invoke a public and political reaction that will reduce tobacco use and ultimately tackle the epidemic of disease that it causes. Although ASH have made it clear in their mission statement that they are not anti-smoking or trying to get tobacco banned it is obvious from the content of this site that they are not fans of the 'drug' as they label it. Apart from the strong words outlined, ASH has provided resources to support you in your battle to quit smoking.
