Molloy wins in Germany

On his first outing, riding his new race prepared 1000cc 2008 Honda Fireblade, Grant beat all European competition to storm home in first place a full 20 seconds in front of the second position. This was a fantastic victory at the Nurburgring Serien Sport race against world class competition placing him fully in the ranks of the top riders in Europe.

This triumph for the young Enniskillen rider is even more exceptional as he had only just completed preparations to his bike a few days earlier and has had very little track time for testing.

Grant commented, "There is more work to be done with the front suspension but I'm really happy with the new Honda. I know there is more to come from the bike and many more wins to be had.

"I want to thank AB Tuning, Solingen, Germany for the amount of work, time and effort they have put into sourcing race parts and preparing the bike."

In one of the test days prior to the race he actually had the opportunity to race against non other than Michael Schumacher and consistently beat him on track times which was a great boost to the young lad's morale.

Grant who is riding for Suzuki GB team in the European Suzuki 750 GSXR Cup Championship, recently competed at Monza, Nurburgring and Mizano, increasing his position in the championship attaining 12th, 11th and 11th respectively. Grant thanks his mentor Jeremy McWilliams, for all his ongoing help and advice to him and said it was a privilege to race against him at Monza and Nurburgring. Jeremy had wild card rides and finished in 7th and 6th position respectively.

Grant who was at Magny-Cours, France last weekend testing the Honda is really looking forward to making racing his career, representing Ireland and is currently looking for sponsors for next year. Grant says "It is really challenging to race against some of the best riders in the world and at each event I learn so much my performance improves, taking me closer to my goal."
