A Fermanagh schoolboy had a weekend he will never forget when he took centre stage at Wembley for the FA Cup semi-final.
Nathan Wilson, 12, from Tamlaght, fulfilled a dream of a life-time when he lined out with his favourite team, Chelsea, on the famous pitch on Saturday evening for the game against Arsenal.
As the Chelsea team mascot, Nathan found himself the centre of attention in front of 88,000 excited fans. He described the whole experience as, 'fantastic'.
Nathan, a member of the Chelsea Bridge Kids, has been waiting for five years for his 'call-up' and when the day finally came, it more than lived up to his expectations.
The centre-half with Ballinamallard National Youth League Under-12's had the task of presenting the Chelsea captain, John Terry with a bunch of commemorative flowers which was then given to the Hillsborough Family Support Group to remember those who died in the disaster 20 years ago.
Football-crazy Nathan was accompanied on the trip by his parents, Mervyn and Helen who watched proudly from the stands.
The Fivemiletown College student relished the chance to meet so many of his football heroes. In particular, he was impressed with Joe Cole who spoke to him about his memories of coming to Portrush to play in the Milk Cup. Nathan also had his picture taken with the Chelsea manager, Guus Hiddink.
A talented player in his own right, Nathan lines out regularly with Ballinamallard. He also competed in the Foyle Cup last year and is looking forward to playing in the competition again this year. Nathan is also in the Fermanagh School of Excellence and Fivemiletown College Football Team.
