Enniskillen woman Kate Allen is breaking the mould in scouting. Kate is the first female group leader of St Michael's Scout group.
She has been involved in scouting for 23 years now and still gets a tremendous buzz whenever she puts on the scout uniform.
"I wouldn't be there if I wasn't enjoying it," she said. "It's full of fun and a great way to meet people."
She sees her new position in the St Michael's unit as a challenging one.
"It's a big undertaking, but I know I have plenty of support from everyone involved," she said.
Kate will have responsibility for 45 leaders. She sees her job as motivating them within their own groups and offering them a support mechanism."
She Enniskillen scout is also the county treasurer of the Erne Scout Group. Married to Mark, the director of Scouting in Northern Ireland, she has scouting in her blood.

Kate says it's like a full time job and not just a two and a half hour stint every week.
"It's something which is a big part of our lives and we love every minute of it," she said.
