MCSC Brief Court

Denies assault charge

A 42 year-old Strabane will contest a charge of assault causing actual bodily harm next month following a plea of not guilty at the town's Magistrates Court last Thursday.

The charge against John Faulkner, of Upper Strabane Road, relates to an incident on July 19 last year.

He will return to Strabane Magistrates Court on April 27 for contest.

Douglas Bridge Easter draw

Douglas Bridge Cross Community Association Ltd are running an Easter draw.

There are still some tickets avaliable for the draw which will be held on Easter Saturday in the Sportsman Inn, Douglas Bridge.

All tickets must be returned to Geraldine Boyce before Good Friday at the latest. The proceeds of the draw will go towards the upkeep of the community centre and towards equipment for the youth club. The youth club will be closed on Good Friday 6th April and on friday the 13th of April it will recommence on Friday 20th of April.
