THE Alley Theatre, Strabane is please to announce a 4 night run, starting on April 16 for the Puddle Alley Theatre group with their play "Noises Off" by Michael Frayn.
The Puddle Alley has a strong reputation for outstanding comedy performances and theatregoers will not be disappointed with their latest production. The comedy is about a group of actors trying to put on a play with not much success and with hilarious results.
Act One focuses on the chaotic dress rehearsal with the cast fumbling lines, entrances, missed cues and bothersome props (most notably a plate of sardines). Act two shows the opening night to chaotic results, while Act 3 covers the final few days of the play with the actors now making up the play as they go along to cover up a series of mishaps.
Much of the comedy emerges from the subtle variations in each version as the off stage chaos affects on-stage performances.
Dr Hook'd and the Medicine Show band come to Strabane on Friday April 20. Be transformed to the heights of the 70s pop with the Dr Hook experience recreated in finest detail with the unique atmosphere and the zany antics of the Dr Hook.
