Police appeal for witnesses


Police in Strabane are appealing for witnesses following an incident on the Orchard Road sometime between 9.30pm and 9.50pm on Thursday (18th).

It is understood a brick was thrown from the bypass which smashed the front windscreen of a lorry travelling between the Sion Mills roundabout and the traffic lights.

Fortunately, there were no injuries however the consequences could have been fatal had the driver lost control of his vehicle.

Police in Strabane are urging anyone who has information regarding the incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000. Or call 'Crimestoppers' on 0800 555 111.
