Financial education company launch local recruitment drive

By Conor Sharkey

A financial education company is aiming to recruit up to 60 employees in Strabane over the next month.

Genistar has been operating successfully in the USA for several years now, helping people make informed decisions about issues such as mortgages, insurance and investments.

Last year they branched out of the States into the UK and this week, the company announced they are setting up here in Strabane and are looking for people to train and mentor in the business.

Speaking to the Strabane Chronicle on Tuesday, Regional Vice President Gerry McGivern explained just what Genistar is about.

"Genistar educates people about money. We teach people how to get out of debt and how to manage their money better. Too many people out there are getting into financial difficulties simply because they are making the wrong decisions when it comes to important decisions like mortgages.

"We are saying to people, a mortgage should be the last ever loan you have to take out. You shouldn't have to remortgage two years or five years down the line.

"And by making the right decisions and choices you shouldn't have to. We want to show people the options available to them and help them take back control of their finances," he said.

So what do you need to become a Genistar mentor?

"You need nothing. Full training is provided and even by working on a part-time basis of eight to ten hours per week you can expect to take home a monthly salary of between £500 and £1,500 per week.

"You can start with Genistar working the hours you choose. This gives you the opportunity to build your own business without having to burn any bridges or fork out thousands for a franchise.

"Full training is given free of charge in a team-working environment, so no previous knowledge of money or finance is required.

"There is a proven system and, if you follow it, you can build a profitable business that could generate substantial passive income," Mr McGivern said.

So if you have an entrepreneurial spirit, you should get along to Genistar's launch evening in the Fir Trees Hotel this coming Tuesday at 7.30pm. It could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.
