Find out about youth

THE Western Education Board's Youth Service for the Strabane area is holding an information evening in the Library next Thursday.

The evening is open to all members of the community and offers the opportunity to meet the youth team and find out what is happening within the Youth Service in Strabane.

Youth Officer for the Strabane area, Sean Cassidy explained: "In keeping with a general policy of information giving and consultation, we are very keen to meet with as many people as possible, to introduce them to the various registered youth groups, let them know what is happening in the Strabane area and listen to their views."

The evening gets underway in the library at 7pm with a brief introduction by Mr Cassidy.

Following this, guests will have the opportunity to view in detail, the planned projects, express their views and chat to various team members.

Mr Cassidy added: "The Youth Service team is anxious that as many people as possible come along to this first area information evening and I would remind the public that this is an open invitation to everyone.

"If you can't make it for 7pm, then the event runs until 9.30pm. H ave a cup of tea or coffee and meet the team who attempt to cater for the needs of the young people of the area."

he said.
