A TOTAL of 93 households in Omagh have received compensation from the government's emergency fund set-up in the aftermath of the flash flooding in June.
In all £1.1 million has been paid out with five households in Cookstown and six in Dungannon and South Tyrone also benefiting from the emergency funding.
Of the 1, 078 households receiving compensation to date, most are in Belfast, Castlereagh and Omagh.
Households affected by recent flooding can also apply to the scheme, NI Environment Minister Arlene Foster has said.
She said that the NI Executive had made up to £5 million available for the overall fund.
"This is to support the work of district councils to respond to the needs of householders across Northern Ireland.
"The department established a scheme to allow immediate payments of £1, 000 to be available to householders where there was evidence of suffering or severe inconvenience," she said.
"Each case for assistance was assessed by environmental health officers from the relevant district councils."
