A female driver received a fine and penalty points at Strabane Magistrates Court, having been detected travelling at 17 miles and hour over the speed limit.

The court was told that 29 year-old Lisa Kerlin, from Castletown Court, Strabane, was detected by police travelling at 77 miles per hour in a 60 miles per hour zone at Victoria Road, Magheramason.

A fixed penalty had been offered to the defendant, but her licence had expired. The court was told that it was now up to date, and she was fined £60 with three penalty points endorsed on her licence.
