Special Line Dancing Jamboree

FANS of the Highland Radio's Country Boy, Tommy Rosney are in for a treat when he brings renowned dancer Pat Mc Laughlin to the Alley Arts Centre for a Special Line Dancing Jamboree.

The event, which is being hosted by Strabane Council, will take place on Thursday May 17 at 8pm. It follows the success of last year's networking event, when community groups and individuals from around the district pulled on their boots and tried out a dance or two.

Tommy Rosney is one of the North West's best known and loved radio celebrities who travel regularly to Nashville where he keeps up to date with the best of new American Country Music.

The event will team Tommy with celebrated dancer Pat Mc Laughlin, who will teach beginners a few dances throughout the evening. Tickets for the event are £5, which includes a Western Supper. Council is expecting a large round up of local dance and country music fans so booking is advisable.
