Windscreen broken

THE windscreen of a van has been smashed at Canal Basin in Strabane.

The bodywork of the vehicles was also scratched in the incident, which occurred between Sunday afternoon and 5pm on Monday. Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact local police. The number to call with any information is 0845 600 8000, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Phone box set on fire

POLICE in Castlederg are appealing for information after a telephone kiosk was damaged by fire at the start of the week.

The fire and rescue service was called to tackle a blaze in the phone box at Killeter Road shortly after 11pm on Monday (7th). Investigations have established that a flammable material was placed inside and set on fire.

Damage caused to car

A BADGE has been pulled off a Mercedes car at Coronation Park in Sion Mills. Police are seeking assistance in identifying a group of youths seen in the area at the time of the incident, which occurred shortly after 6.30pm on Saturday (5th). Mirror broken

A CAR wing mirror has been broken at Young Crescent in Castlederg.
