The case of the lonely jockey

POLICE are trying to solve the type of mystery that usually falls within the remit of Dick Francis - just how did a jockey end up cold and alone on the streets of Strabane in the early hours of the morning.

Members of a police patrol came across the jockey lying on the pavement outside a bar at Abercorn Square early on Tuesday (May 1).

So far he has been unable to explain what happened, which is probably not surprising considering this jockey is a statue.
