On behalf of the Melmount Community Forum I would like to thank the numerous people and businesses who supported our sponsored walk which we undertook to raise funds to build an Orphanage and an Aids Clinic in South Africa. Twenty members of community groups in the Melmount area took part in the walk and a total sum of £1,790 and ¤135 was raised. As published in your paper in August the building work is well underway and throughout the coming months we will supply more photographs depicting progress. Once again many thanks to all who supported this project.
