THE ALLEY has another series of entertainment packed shows this summer, including two emotional homecomings for local performer with international success under their belt.
Dance the night away tonight, country style.Tonight sees the Alley go Wild West with Radio Highland DJ Tommy Rosney and his fun filled line dancing show. Joined by Pat McLaughlin, a night of dancing for all ages and shoe sizes is on offer at the Alley.
To help keep up the energy for all the ranch hands, a wild west banquet will be on offer. The show starts at 8p.m. and tickets are only £5, some tickets still available from the Alley box office.
ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Find Alice, the White Rabbit and the Queen of Hearts at the Alley.
St Mary's Girls Primary school will be performing Lewis Carroll's wonderful tale about the little girl lost in Wonderland. The children have been practising hard for their two night performance in the theatre, expected to have sell out performances on May 22nd and 23rd. Early booking is highly recommended.
VARIETY SHOW
As part of the Connect Project supported by Strabane and Omagh District Councils and the Arts Council for Northern Ireland the Ballycolman and Villages Together Community Groups will present this amazing variety show on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th May at 8 p.m.
Performers from across the communities come together in a fast paced showcase of draw dropping talent and hilarious fun.
CLASSICAL
The Alley continues its tradition in bringing the very best from the music world to Strabane, with the debut performance of the Ampleforth Duo at the Alley on May 31st.
The duo comprises of Patrick McBeth, celebrated local pianist and Dara De Cogan on violin.
The Duo will be joined by various guests including Philip McCann, one of the best known names in brass band music. Patrick McBeth has studied and travelled the world using his highly trained musical skills and is delighted to be performing in his home town.
One of the Ampleforth's special music guests will be Philip McCann, who is universally recognised as one of the leaders in the brass world.
His unique brass skills make him much in demand for film and TV work, including working on soundtracks for Anna of the Five Towns, Women of Substance and the poplar Hetty Wainthropp investigates the latter receiving a Ivor Novelo Ward.
COUNTRY COOL
Providing their own unique style of Country music, James Quinn come to the Alley riding high during his Northern Ireland tour on June 6th. Joining him will be Malachi Cush, the award winning singer/song writer and Fame Academy finalist, Malachi Cush.
Also appearing will be King of NI County Music Brendan Quinn and the wonderful Scottish singer Anne Williamson on their debut Alley performance. Tickets are selling fast, so early booking is highly advisable.
DAMIAN HARRON
Founder member of the internationally acclaimed Backbeat Percussion Quartet and local man, Damian Harron is coming to the Alley Arts Centre on June 20th.
Backbeat blend different styles of percussion music with influences across the world in a stunning musical and visual performance. Damian is completing a life long dream in playing in front of his home audience with this fantastic percussion group and is anticipating a night full of musical passion in front of his home audience.
