Eligible bachelors sought for escort duty

The search is on for 30 Escorts to take part in the Newbridge Silverware Escort of the Year Competition at the 2007 Rose of Tralee International Festival

The search is now on for Ireland's 30 most eligible bachelors to act as escorts in the 'Newbridge Silverware Escort of the Year Competition' which is taking place at the 2007 Rose of Tralee International Festival.

The Escorts have the enviable job of escorting the stunning and talented young woman competing in this year's Rose of Tralee International Festival in August to a host of events including The Rose Ball, the Rose Parade, gala receptions... and Rose Selection itself!

Under 30 and free and single during the third week of August 2007! An Escort must be unattached (but not afraid of commitment), a complete gentleman (but with a wicked sense of humour), well mannered(but a touch of the devil). But above all, he must know how to treat a lady.

If this sounds like you (or someone you know), then heres how to apply for the job: simply log onto www.roseoftralee.ie and download an application form or telephone 066 712 1322. Closing date for receipt of application and non-refundable application fee of £25 is Thursday 31 May 2007.

Following the application deadline of Thursday 31 May 2007, a short list of candidates will be drawn up. Each short-listed candidate will be invited to attend an interview with a panel of judges. All successful 30 escorts will be automatically entered into the prestigious 'Newbridge Silverware Escort of the Year Competition' whereby the lucky winner, chosen solely by the participating Roses, will walk away with some amazing Newbridge Silverware prizes including a specially commissioned trophy designed and crafted by Newbridge Silverware Gent's Collection, along with 1,000 cash prize.

The Rose of Tralee International Festival takes place from Friday 17 August to Tuesday 21 August 2007.
