A CASTLEDERG girl has secured a place in the Miss Northern Ireland competition.
Joanne Cummings, left, is pictured at the North West 2000 heat of this year's competition, which was held in the Hospitality Marquee.
Joanne, who was placed in the top three, is pictured with current Miss Northern Ireland Catherine Milligan, Miss North West Kirsty Weir and Miss Causeway Coast Toni Boyd.
The winner of the contest will be crowned at a gala ceremony held in the Europa Hotel on Monday 25th June and will receive thousands of pounds worth of prizes including a car and a year's modelling contract, with the complete prize package for the competition worth almost £40,000.
Miss NI 2007 will also win an all expenses paid, month long trip representing Northern Ireland in this year's Miss World contest in Poland.
Heats will run through to Friday 1st June at Strand Bar in Derry.
