THE Under 12 girls of Strabane Sigersons won the Sean Duffy Memorial Blitz at Páirc Mhic Sioghair on Saturday morning.

The other teams taking part were Owen Roes and Castlederg with Glenelly unable to attend owing to their involvement in the Tyrone Under 12 Blitz.

Following the games, the presentation function was held in the clubrooms and the Duffy family were represented by Eamon Duffy, Patricia McCrory, Niall Duffy and Diarmud Cairns. All the players taking part were presented with medals and the Strabane captain Tammi-Lee Diver received the perpetual shield.

The club then prersented a boquet of flowers to Patricia McCrory sister of the late Sean Duffy.

Many thanks to everyone who played any part in making the event a huge success especially the three teams, the referee Eugene Kelly and to all those who assisted in any way not forgetting the ladies who looked after the refreshments.
