COMMITTEE MEETING

The Lisnafin /Ardnalee / TrustCross-Community Development Association are holding a committee meeting in the Lisnafin Community Centre on Tuesday 12th June at 7.30pm.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite local residents to come along. Local people can identify their neighbourhood's problems and have a good idea of what solutions will work. We would like to see local people becoming more involved in our activities and perhaps join our committee. The school holidays are not too far away and we plan to run a number of activities to keep local children safe and getting involved in other less productive activities. We will be seeking volunteers, so if you have some spare time on your hands why not come along and get involved in our projects.

At present we have user groups covering a wide range of programmes;

· Chest, Heart & Stroke Group, which caters for the needs of young stroke patients from Strabane.

· A Parent/Toddler Group (SureStart),

· Traveller Suppport Group,

· Judo Club,

· Dance Classes

· The Centre is available to the general public for Consultation meetings, birthday Parties Etc.

We have an IT Suite which has been beneficial in advancing training for people who have had to re-train to enhance their employment prospects.

We also plan to have a Youth Club in operation on Friday nights from 7pm to 10pm.

We want to continue and expand these activities through inter-community projects.
