MCSC Easilift vols


Would you like to volunteer within your community but don't know how to go about it?

Easilift in Strabane offers many different volunteering options right on your doorstep.

Community Transport plays a pivotal role within our local community. Easilift provides affordable, accessible transport for local people who find it difficult to get out and about. Easilift provides a transport solution best suited to meet each passengers' needs. This may include collecting kids to take them to an after schools club, providing transport to a senior citizens meeting or making it possible for physical disability group to go on an outing.

Successful Community Transport depends on volunteers. Easilift is run by and for your local community. Easilift is a not-for-profit charity. Volunteers and the support they provide ensures transport is available and ongoing. Easilift need you and your help. Easilift will provide you with full training and support to help you to make a difference within your community. The type of volunteering posts available are:

n Volunteer minibus drivers – great for anyone who loves to drive

n Volunteer car drivers (drive your own car & receive mileage reimbursement)

n Volunteer passenger assistants to help people on and off vehicles and to provide company when on a journey

n Volunteer office assistants and administrators – no experience necessary but some would help.

n Volunteer fundraisers for flag days or to organise and run events

n Volunteer marketing & promotions officers to spread information about how community transport can provide solutions and change the lives of people who find it difficult to get out and about.

Volunteering opportunities are also open to people who would like to have a say how Community Transport is provided within our area. Why not become a Volunteer Management Committee member?
