Convocation at Queen's

Convocation, the graduate body of Queen's University will hold its annual meeting today (Thursday, December 6) in the Great Hall starting at 6.30pm (when tea/coffee will be available). All graduates of Queen's are entitled to attend.

The meeting will be opened at 7pm with an address from Prof. James McElnay, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences. After the formal business of the evening has concluded the third annual Queen's Question Time will take place, enabling graduates to engage with local politicians on predominantly educational issues, in a lively one hour Q&A discussion chaired by BBCs Seamus McKee. Each of the five main political parties will be fielding a representative so a lively discussion is expected.

The strength of Convocation depends on the participation of alumni. I therefore encourage all Queen's graduates to attend an enjoyable and informative evening.

Stephen McIlveen

Chairman, Convocation
