Morning of music

Christ Church, Bowling Green, Strabane, will host a morning of music next week with all donations going to church repair funds.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 22 from 11am to 1pm and on hand to provide the music will be renowned organist Roy Adams MBE.

Christ Church spokesperson Harry Friar said: "This is one in a series of events aimed at raising money to repair the church spire. It's in quite a bad state of disrepair at present and it will take in excess of £100,000 to put right. So, we will be holding other events including a concert and a gift day in the near future.

"Providing the music on the day will be Roy Adams, who will be doing requests from the congregation. It should be a lovely morning and we are looking forward to a good turnout and good support from the other churches in the area," Mr Friar explained.
