MCSC Pol brief theft from cars


PROPERTY STOLEN FROM CARS

POLICE in Strabane are appealing for information after valuables were stolen from cars parked at a local church and a local cemetery.

On Friday afternoon (16th), a woman tending a grave at Strabane cemetery returned to her car to find a window had been smashed and a handbag stolen. The bag contained a purse and a mobile phone.

Later that afternoon, a handbag was stolen from a car close to the Church of the Immaculate Conception at Barrack Street.

A door was damaged to gain access. The bag contained bankcards and a mobile phone.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact local police. The number to call with any information is 0845 600 8000, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
