Karl Barr, son of Jeff and Cecilia Barr, Tulacorr Heights Strabane, recently graduated with a First Class BA Honours Degree in History from Queens University, Belfast. Karl was awarded the Montgomery Medal Prize for his final year dissertation, which has subsequently been entered for the Royal Historical Society/History Today National Prize. Karl received his earlier education at St Mary's Boys Primary School and St Colman's High School Strabane.
