Entertain the kids

The tale of Goldilocks and the Three Little Bears will be told at the Alley Theate during the month of June.

The Alley Theatre is delighted to announce children's favourite, Tom Sweeney and his famous Skinnymarink band will be performing a musical celebration in time for the summer school holidays.

Tom and his band will be singing some great children songs for all ages on Saturday, June 7th at 3 pm, making it an ideal day out for all the family at the award winning Alley Theatre, an ideal family venue with the superb children friendly Jenca Café, the new 'Ambrose' the pig sculpture and outdoor seating area.

Nathan Flatman, from the Alley Theatre was delighted to hear Tom was appearing at the Alley.

"As a father myself I often have to think of different ways to keep my two boys entertained over the weekends, so when I found out Tom and his Skinnymarink band were coming I knew my boys would love to see the show, hear the fantastic music and join in with all the fun!"

Banyan Theatre Company will present two shows at The Alley Theatre.

'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' and 'The Emperors New Clothes' come to the Alley in June.

Goldilocks, a well loved classic, is told in an imaginative way through the use of puppetry, story telling and object theatre.

It is a perfect introduction to theatre for young audiences.

In July a "Saturday Classic Cinema Club", aimed at children of all ages, will get underway at the Theatre.

The Alley cinema club will feature classic children films like E.T on July 5th, The Goonies on July 19th and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on August 2nd as well as The Sound of Music on July 26th. These are superb films which many younger children might not have seen before.

Ticket prices for the shows and the cinema club range from £2 - £6, making it a fun and affordable day out for all the family".
