| St Colmcille’s GAC, Carrickmore |
Over four years the redevelopment of the famous Nally Stand preoccupied the Gaels of Naomh Colmcille and all that patience and hard work proved worthwhile when the outgoing GAA President Sean Kelly and Lady President Geraldine Giles were special guests for the official rededication and opening of the former Croke Park stand in September. This formed the centre piece of An Charraig Mhor’s 75th anniversary celebrations which also included a Gala Banquet held in Monaghan, attended by Carmen Gaels far and wide.

| Fintona Golf Club |
History was made at Fintona Golf Club in 2007 when the Tyrone club became the first in the North to introduce the innovative First Tee programme - a unique educational initiative developed by the World Golf Foundation. High profile dignataries including Sports Minister Edwin Poots and all the main stakeholders attended the launch of the programme. The project aims to introduce golf to children between the ages of eight and 18 as well as helping them to acquire valuable life skills on and off the course.

| Omagh Riding for the Disabled (RDA) |
Based on an extensive site at Arvalee, Omagh Riding for the Disabled (RDA) group was presented with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service at a presentation hosted by the Duke of Abercorn.
The group was founded 26 years ago and has grown and developed beyond recognition and currently boosts a membership of 140. During
the past year 127 riders took part in 1,776 sessions organised by the Group with forty of its riders also taking part in competitions.

| Omagh Motor Club |
The Club has earned a reputation over the years for organising major rallying events in the county. The organisational qualities of a number of club and former members were
tested to the full in November when Rally Ireland arrived in the country and indeed county for the first time. Gordon Noble, was Assistant Clerk of the Course while local man Simon MacRory was stage manager at Sloughan Glen. A number of Omagh members joined other clubs by donning a high visibility vest to marshal at the high profile event which attracted thousands of spectators to Tyrone.
