Bereaved parents and families will come together on Sunday, June 8, at 3.30pm in St Mark's Church, Holywood Road, Belfast to remember their children. This service is one of the annual events organised by Remember Our Child, a project within Cruse Bereavement Care. Remember Our Child is a partnership of child loss self-help support groups in Northern Ireland.
This ecumenical service is for parents and families who have had a child(ren) die in any circumstance at any age. Some parents will have lost children through miscarriage, stillbirth or illness; others will have faced the tragic loss because of accident or suicide. The service gives parents and families the opportunity to come together to remember and acknowledge the lives of their children.
The death of a child brings a profound sense of loss to a parent. We hope that our service can help parents on their healing journey. Bereaved parents come in all ages, it does not make a difference at what age your child dies, your child will always be your child.
