Our Jimmy is back

No IPTC Header found

FOLLOWING on from one of Northern
Ireland's most successful shows ever, Fivemiletown-born William Caulfield's Our Jimmy - A Tribute to James Young, comes a brand new two-hour hilarious production; More Our Jimmy which is set to play at venues across Northern Ireland in early 2007.

Northern Ireland audiences could not get enough of William Caulfield's hilarious tribute to the late James Young, and this brand new show, More Our Jimmy, is a real treat for audiences to experience the laughs and antics of all the best loved and familiar
characters, including Lily O'Condriac, wee Sammy the Schoolboy, the Factory Girl and the ever-drunk Willie Simpson, and a few more surprises in store.

The monologues, homilies and the outrageous sketches which made James Young Northern Ireland's best-loved entertainer live on in a show that brings alive the spirit of the legendary actor and comedian.

James Young died 32 years ago but through the show his memory lives on and so do the poems he wrote and the characters he created like Wee Davey, the Ould Blackman, Big Aggie and Jimmy the Belfast Street Singer to recite his emotive verses.

"I was so thrilled with the phenomenal success that the original show received, that I felt that there really was much more to give and audiences across Northern Ireland certainly wanted more, I have been working flat out over the past six months to ensure that this new production, More Our Jimmy, is packed with fresh material and just as much fun and craic!.

"I really can't wait to get back on the stage and look forward to the audience reaction at the various venues, we really have the most amazing audiences and the warmth radiates onto the stage. It is indicative of the high regard that Northern Ireland holds for James Young, who is obviously still very close to their hearts," says William Caulfield.
