ENJOY the Easter holidays when live band music continues in Tempo Community Centre with one of Ireland's top pop attractions, Big Generator, on Friday, April 13.
This is a rare occasion for the youth (and not so young) locally to see one of Ireland's biggest names in pop music who have just returned from a European tour.
Big Generator have released their new single entitled One Minute, available on download only, which is the first venture down this particular avenue for the band.
The single is a brand new recording of this very popular track, a big favourite in the lads' live set. After constant hounding from fans and friends to re-record the song, which originally appeared on their On the Line album from 1999, the lads bowed to requests and went into studio with Corrs producer Billy Farrell, tore the song apart and rebuilt it. The result is a very different version of the song but still keeps the essence of One Minute, especially that unforgettable chorus.
The lads have been on top of the pile for many years now, still the band that all newcomers aspire to. Big Generator came into the picture at a time when the live music circuit was a badly wounded animal, and they are in no small part responsible for the thriving scene that is in place today.
So don't miss the chance to check out one of Ireland's top live acts at the Tempo Community Centre on Friday, April 13. On stage at 11.30pm. Doors open at 10pm.
