Pomeroy Plunketts

Pomeroy Plunketts

This Sunday the seniors and reserves make journey north to Clann Na Gael. Throw-in at 2.15 and 3.45. The U-14's improved their league play-off chances last Saturday with a hard earned draw against Omagh at Plunkett Park, the final score finishing 2-10 to 1-13. This Saturday (14th April) they travel to Cappagh while next Tuesday they have the shorter away match against Carrickmore. The minors suffered their first defeat of the season against Errigal Ciaran last Wednesday going down by 1-17 to 0-10. There were a few key absentees from the Plunketts for this match but hopefully it will be a better result to report from the outcome of the game against Moortown last Wednesday. All parents and members are encouraged to come out and support our young players for all these youth matches. The club has recently introduced a sponsored match ball feature. Any individual or group is invited to sponsor the match ball for all forthcoming senior ties. All details and interest should be directed to the Chairman. Thanks to Brian Quinn of Rocwell who was the sponsor of the Loughmacrory game and thanks to Joe McKenna who has kindly sponsored this week's ball at Clann Na Gael.
