A CONFERENCE, entitled 'The Future of Farming; Safeguarding your Single Farm Payment', has been organised by Strabane Farmers Forum for Thursday, April 26,at 8pm in the Strabane Enterprise Agency.

The conference will bring together farmers from throughout the Strabane district to discuss issues with decision makers from DARD and the Department of the Environment (DOE).

Norman Fulton, director of Policy and& Economics, DARD, will be addressing burning issues such assingle farm payments and the future of funding for farm families.

In the hot seat also will be Kieran McCavana, DOE to address concerns about the increasing regulations being applied to farming practices.

The conference is sponsored by the Northern Bank.
