Filth's Easter wipeout

THIS Saturday, April 7, 'Filth' celebrates its second birthday and Easter party in the Top of the Town in Omagh. April 2005 saw the birth of 'Filth'â which was originally planned as a one off event to aid the long suffering ears of local real music enthusiasts.

With capacity crowds from the outset, Filth has proved to be a vital element in the local music scene. For those who haven't been to one of the parties, you will soon learn 'Filth' adopts a no muck music, no poser, no pouting policy in favour of a friendly crowd, a sweaty excitable dance floor and a mixture of indie, rock, punk, underground sounds and the best in new bands.

SPECIAL GUESTS

Saturday's party will be celebrated with special guests Colenso Parade, to coincide with the release of their new EP. This exciting band are steadily gathering a following due to their recordings. Gigging regularly in Belfast, Omagh and Derry, with their sets consisting of all of their own material, Colenso Parade are electrifying live.

A recent review said, "Colenso Parade are a four piece from Omagh who storm the stage and take no prisoners. Each gig they play, their ever increasing band of loyal followers grows in number. Get ready to love this band!"

This summer will also witness the first 'Filth Fest'â a spectacular one-day band showcase. Places are filling fast, but a few still remain, so if you are in a band and want to be part of this event, you must hand in a demo with a brief biography at one of the 'Filth' parties.
