EMMA Heatherington, a mother of three from Donaghmore who took up creative writing only two years ago, is celebrating a publishing offer for her first novel entitled Crazy for You. The prestigious Dodder Publishing Company, based in Dublin, offered the 30-year-old a three book publishing deal before her book was completed.

Emma, who is the Public Relations Officer for Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council, is thrilled with the offer.

She said, "I love creative writing and find it very fulfilling. I did most of my work in the evenings when my three children, aged 11, five and three are in bed. Instead of turning on the TV turn on the laptop. With my job I get very little chance during the day to write."

Crazy For You will appeal to fans of Hugh Grant type chick-flicks. Emma explained, "It is a romantic comedy, 'chick-lit' and will appeal mostly to 18 to 40-year-old women. It is easily read and ideal when travelling and on holidays or relaxing."

Emma added, "It is fantastic. Some people wait years to get this knock on the door."

Crazy For You will be in all good book shops including Easons from July 2.
