Arthritis Care
The next local branch meeting of Arthritis Care will be held in Hillbank Fold on Thursday, April 19 at 8pm. A good attendance is requested to discuss arrangements for Summer outing.
Gortnagarn Old Tyme Dancing
A charity old tyme dance for Romania will be held on Easter Tuesday, April 10 in Dun Uladh Centre. Music is provided by Country Traditions. Dancing from 10pm and tea will be served. A young lady who has been out in Romania quite recently will be there to accept the money and give a short talk on her experience there and how the money will be spent.
Housing Aid Bosnia
A dance will be held in Strathroy Community Centre on Tuesday, April 10 from 9pm to midnight. Admission £5. Dancing to Melody Sound. The funds raised on the night will go to Housing Aid Bosnia, a charity run by Sr Josephine Walsh to help re-house refugees who lost everything in the war. Please support this worthy cause.
Feis programme
The Western Tyrone Feis programme will be available from next week in the following outlets - Top News, News at Six and the Carlisle Bookshop. The committee would like to wish everyone an enjoyable West Tyrone Feis.
Omagh Youth Centre
Omagh Youth Centre will be closed on Wednesday, April 4 and will re-open on Tuesday, April 17.
The Senior and Junior Gateway clubs will be closed for Easter from March 29 and will re-open on Thursday, April 19.
Alzheimer's Society thanks
Omagh branch of the Alzheimer's Society would like to thank the following sponsors of its recent fundraising table quiz held in the Weigh Inn and anyone else who attended on the night or contributed in any way to make it such a great success.
The total amount raised was the magnificent sum of £696 which will be used to provide support to people with dementia who are living in our local communities.
