TIME is rapidly running out to enter the David Prentice BMW, Omagh Business Awards. Businesses across the district are being encouraged to enter the prestigious contest organised by Omagh Chamber of Commerce and gain recognition for their hard work and achievements.
Omagh Chamber of Commerce President Mary McCartan said, "The Omagh Business Awards are about recognising and celebrating the success of our indigenous business base and the contribution that they make to our local economy. We are conscious that small business is big business here in Omagh.
"Last year's event was extremely successful and we were delighted with the support that was given for it from our sponsors. We had an exceptionally high calibre of applicants and our category winners demonstrated this and were truly deserving.
"This year we want to build on last year's success and to see more small businesses in the district taking part. We would really encourage more businesses to take part and to get recognition for their hard work and commitment to the local economy. We are conscious that Easter has fallen early this year and have extended the deadline to April 20.
"If you are interested, contact the Chamber office and someone will be there to assist and guide you through the application process. Winners will be announced at a gala event in the Mellon Country Hotel on Friday, May 11."
