Omagh thief makes getaway on bike with whiskey galore

POLICE in Omagh are seeking assistance in identifying a man who stole three bottles of whiskey from a local supermarket. He is described as being aged about 30, 5' 9" tall and wearing a brown jacket and jeans.

He made off on a bicycle after the incident at the Irishtown Road store shortly before 5pm on Tuesday.

Oil tank set on fire in Fintona

AN OIL tank has been set on fire in Fintona. The fire and rescue service turned out to tackle the blaze at Ashfield Gardens at about 5pm on Sunday, July 24.

Car parts stolen in Omagh

THE wheels and radio have been stolen from a car at Glenpark Road, Omagh.

The black Volkswagen Passat has been left at the side of the road following a traffic collision on Monday night. The next morning the owner noted that parts had been stripped from the car and windows had been smashed.

Digger damaged at Gortin

POLICE in Omagh are appealing for information after a mechanical digger was damaged at Culvacullion Road, Gortin. Four of the machine's windows were broken at a building site over the weekend.
