Attend Cologne's International Food Show with LMC

LMC is offering six producers the opportunity to travel to the Anuga International Food show in Cologne this October, enabling Northern Ireland producers to see at first hand the Northern Ireland stand at one of the world's largest and busiest food shows.

While there, the LMC would like producers to review and compare the traceability and quality assurance systems which are employed in different countries throughout the world and to provide a short report to local farmers groups on their return. All travel, accommodation and expenses for a two-day visit to the show will be covered by LMC. Applicants will be chosen from a wide geographical area to accommodate subsequent communication to as many farmer groups as possible. Preference will be given to those who have not accompanied LMC to similar events before.

Anuga attracts exhibitors from all over the world. The last show in 2005 attracted 158,817 visitors from 156 different countries and an even bigger attendance is anticipated for 2007. Anuga is one of the most important trade shows for the industry in 2007 and takes place from October 13-17.

If you have a genuine interest in finding out more about world traceability and assurance systems and would like to visit the Anuga International Food Show, send your name and address to Maria McLaughlin, LMC Communications Manager, Lissue House, 31 Ballinderry Road, Lisburn, BT28 2SL or email: mmclaughlin@lmcni.com by Friday, August 31.
