Roadshow results for Omagh

THE Aimhigher Northern Ireland Roadshow completed its tour of 139 schools and colleges recently and has proved to be a hit with Omagh youngsters by changing their attitudes towards higher education by 72%.

The joint Ulster Bank, Department of Education and Department for Employment and Learning initiative visits schools across NI, highlighting the benefits of going to university. Over 18,000 pupils who boarded the Roadshow since September 2006 took part in a survey showing a 72% positive shift in their attitudes towards higher education.
