Club Details

Clubs are asked to forward details of their Youth Officer, Schools/Liaison officers and Youth team managers to John Coney asap for inclusion in the 2007 Fixtures Booklet at John.coney@lineone.net

Club Youth Memberships

In 2007 Youth Officers are asked to move now, early in the season, to address the issue of registration of Youth members. Failure to do so by the deadline (see GAC dates below) will result in your Youth team being excluded from competition. The form is attached. Registrations should be forwarded to John Coney.

Programmes for Finals

The template introduced for use has been very successful. A copy is attached again for use by your club immediately your Youth team qualifies for a Youth Final. The information must be forwarded to Brendan Harkin at TeamTalk asap after the semi-final.

Any information / photos a club wish added onto the County website Youth page should be forwarded to HYPERLINK "mailto:website@tyrone.gaa.ie" website@tyrone.gaa.ie or myself.

Code of Best Practise Courses: Clubs with members required to attend this course should forward names to me asap. Courses will be organised in February as demand dictates. Those assisting with or managing any Youth teams are expected to attend this course. Club Chairpersons ultimately have the responsibility to ensure all coaches have attended this course. An administrators course will run for all Chairperson, Secretaries and Youth Officers who have not yet undertaken the Administrators Course. This course is compulsory for Club Officials.

Alcohol / Substance Awareness: Please also remember Alcohol / Substance Awareness courses are available to youth members by organising through Cuthbert Donnelly.

GAC Competitons:

U-14 League will start 3 March- membership by 17 March

U-18 start 28 March-membership by 14 April

Og Sport Rd 1 16 May-membership by 30 April

U-16 27 June-membership by 30 April

U-13 6 September- membership by 30 April

NB: Failure to register Youth members by the deadline will result in your Youth team being excluded from future competition.

Entries for the U15 League should be forwarded to Kieran McHugh- mailto:Kieran@traceyconcrete.com This League will start in April / May for those clubs with 13 or more players in their 15th year only. The League will be played 11 to 15 aside depending on numbers.

Go Games: U-8 U-10 and U-12 competitions will be organised within the Go-Games rules which will be strictly enforced in 2007. Meetings will take place in April with Clubs. In the meantime registrations must be forwarded by 30 April.

Disabled children's: Coaching for children with a disability will be organised depending on the numbers nominated. All club Youth Officers should identify children / families who would welcome this opportunity for their child(ren) and forward names to me together with details of the child's disability.

Survey Returns 2006: These will be reviewed and suggestions incorporated within Youth structure were possible.

Youth Meeting: Clubs should note date for Youth meeting of 19 February in Kelly's Inn at 7:30pm. Chairperson or Secretary and Youth Officer asked to attend. Championship draws to be made that night.
