THE Department for Regional Development will be holding an Information Seminar on Door-2-Door Transport in Omagh on 23rd January 2007.
Door-2-Door Transport is an exciting new service for people who have difficulty accessing regular bus services, and will be operational in Omagh from 30th March 2007.
Trevor Robinson from the Department for Regional Development (DRD) said: "Door-2-Door Transport is similar to a regular bus town service and will help older people and people with disabilities to get out and about.
TARGETED
"The Information Seminar is targeted at public representatives, statutory and community organisations and voluntary groups in the Omagh area who would have an interest in this service. Of course, individuals who also want to know more about the service are welcome to attend.
The Seminar will be held in the Silverbirch Hotel between 10.30am and 12pm. Anyone who wishes to attend the Seminar should contact the Department on (028) 9054 0609 or e-mail door2door@drdni.gov.uk. Details on the new scheme can also be found on the Department's Getting Out & About website - simply go to www.ni-transportguide.info and click on "Door-2-Door".
This is the fifth in a series of Information Seminars which the DRD will be holding, as it rolls out these new services to 27 urban towns and cities across Northern Ireland.
