Whole Lotto luck for Tyrone woman on Winning Streak

A COOKSTOWN woman is over the moon after winning a fabulous prize on the RTÉ's Winning Streak programme.

Bernie Musgrave of Killycolp Road won prizes to the value of ¤70,850 on last Saturday night' show.

She was cheered on by many supporters in the town who had heard of her luck in being chosen to take part in the game show.

Her winnings included a Peugeot 407 car.

Winning Streak Double Your Money is hosted by Derek Mooney and on the night he chatted to the five players who came from right across Ireland – Cavan, Kilkenny, Limerick, Cork, and Tyrone.

They won prizes to the value of ¤420,400 with the biggest winner on the night was James Nolan From Johnstown, Co. Kilkenny who won prizes to the value of ¤202,250.

Homespun offers one Winning Streak viewer a chance to spin the wheel and win up to ¤20,000. Just call or text the keyword given by Derek on the show before 5pm on Tuesday. Players can win anything from ¤1,000 to ¤10,000 on the wheel, but as this is Double Your Money, if you land on a value with the Double symbol that amount is doubled.

Call with the keyword and your name to the Northern Ireland number – 0905 654 0007.

The Winning Streak Double Your Money TV Gameshow is based solely on chance and there is no skill involved. To qualify for participation, players must submit a 3-star ticket in one of the special 3-star envelopes, which are available in all National Lottery retail outlets. Each player is guaranteed to win cash and prizes to the value of at least ¤20,000 on the show, with the possibility of winning ¤500,000 on the Gameshow wheel.

Bernie Musgrave travelled to th show with her husband Cyril who will be thirty years married in September. They have six children - Malcolm, Jacqueline, Stephen, Michael and Paul.

As a busy housewife, Bernie does not have much time to herself but when she does she likes to read and look after her garden.

It was Cyril who purchased the scratch card and put her name on it.

They were watching the show and Cyril had just commented sadly 'that their luck had gone out the window again' when Derek read out Co. Tyrone! Bernie felt pure shock, followed by excitement when her name was selected.

She would like to take the opportunity to mention all of her family and friends who have been so kind to them all week.
