Ramblers wrong footed at Benbulbin

IT was surely a portent of things to come when West Tyrone Ramblers latest outing got off on the wrong foot. One of the ramblers discovered she had brought two left boots with her.

CONTINUOUS RAIN

The weather forecast was for occasional showers, but the shower that started as soon as the walkers left their cars turned to continuous rain which lasted for the duration of the walk. The sodden ramblers had to imagine the breathtaking views which can be had from Kings Mountain and Benbulbin, as visibility was very poor.

The next walk is on the Hollywood to Bangor coastal path, this will be easy walking, mainly on paths. Intending wawlkers should assemble at the Omagh Leisure Centre car park at 9.30am on Saturday, July 7.
