Omagh fatal crash: new appeal

Police in Omagh have issued a fresh appeal for information about the crash that claimed the life of Pat McCourt

At approximately 4.25pm on Thursday, October 4, the collision occurred on the main A5 Omagh to Ballygawley road involving a small white flat-bed lorry and a grey Renault Megane Scenic car. The vehicles were traveling in opposite directions. Mr McCourt was fatally injured and the lorry driver was severely shocked and sustained cuts and bruises.

Police wish to identify anyone who used the road between Omagh and the location of the collision, near the turn-off for Beragh at Crawford's Bridge, between 4pm and 4.30pm and who witnessed the collision or any of the vehicles on the road before it.

Anyone who did so is asked to contact police and give their name and contact details for information of the investigating officer. The number to call is 0845 600 8000.
