THE Queen's Film Theatre in Belfast will dance with colour on Wednesday, May 2, as the theatre plays host to Dungannon artist, Lisa Conlan's latest exhibition, Soul Language.
Since leaving a career in advertising in 2005 to pursue her dream to become an artist, 25-year-old Lisa continues to up the stakes in her artistic talent which proceeds to move in leaps and bounds. Her work has been sold as far as the USA and she is admired regularly on her ability to lift people's hearts with her bright, confident colours and her freedom on canvas.
Last April Lisa launched her eagerly awaited first collection, The Path to Inner Peace, to much praise in the exclusive surroundings of Caf Vaudeville, Belfast. Now one year later Lisa's latest collection, Soul Language, delves even deeper into her soul, expressing times when her soul has walked in darkness, when she has found hope and light, when she has danced and when she has truly soared. There are 25 pieces in total , the main subject matter used is figurative, the lines and colours are bold and confident and the chosen medium is acrylic paint on canvas.
