Thanks to the Erne Hospital

I would like to express my appreciation to the maternity and neo-natal unit of the Erne Hospital.

My little grandson is just about to reach his birthday and to see him so healthy and well is amazing and to think he may not have made it for the hard work and professional services of the maternity unit.

Special thanks to Sister Noeleen O'Neill and the dedicated midwives who stayed beyond the call of duty to ensure mother and baby had arrived safely. It was overwhelming to see at hand the skill and determination of the gynaecologist and anaesthetist. I would also like to thank Sister Joan Cunningham and the expert neo-natal team which work effortlessly around the clock with the premature babies, ensuring the progress and bonding with the mother, their caring and professional manner keeping everyone at ease.

Also thanks to V. Bannigan for the excellent ante-natal and post-natal care. The midwives deserve great recognition for all their hard work which hopefully will never to be taken for granted. All too often we hear of all the bad things that happen in all hospitals. Isn't is time we applauded the good work they do.

Grateful grandmother
